Bangunan Gedung Hijau (BGH)
Peraturan Pemerintah No. 16 Tahun 2021 mewajibkan sertifikasi Bangunan Gedung Hijau (BGH) bagi seluruh gedung baru dengan luas lantai lebih dari 20.000 m² dan gedung eksisting di atas 50.000 m². BGH National Regulation
The Green Building (BGH) regulation, issued in 2021, aims to accelerate the development of environmentally friendly and sustainable buildings in Indonesia. It encourages building owners and developers to adopt greener, more responsible practices across the built environment.
Under this regulation, all new buildings with a total floor area greater than 20,000 m², and all existing buildings exceeding 50,000 m², are required to obtain BGH certification. This applies to various building types, including commercial properties, hotels, hospitals, and public facilities.
BGH certification is awarded to buildings that meet specific environmental and sustainability criteria, covering energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, and the use of environmentally responsible materials.
Certification System
The BGH certification system in Indonesia consists of three certification levels:
BGH Pratama
BGH Madya
BGH Utama
Each level requires a minimum number of points, with a maximum of 165 points available. To earn certification, buildings must score points across seven key categories, each with its own set of criteria. A minimum score is required in every category for a project to qualify for BGH certification.
