In 2020, Ascott Group reinforced its global sustainability strategy by achieving EDGE certification for four Ascott Residence Trust (ART) properties under its 2018 Memorandum of Understanding with the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The certified properties, including Citadines Arnulfpark Munich (Germany), Ascott Jakarta and Somerset Grand Citra Jakarta (Indonesia), and Somerset Hoa Binh Hanoi (Vietnam), each achieved at least 20% savings in energy, water, and embodied energy, reflecting strong resource efficiency across diverse markets. Somerset Grand Citra Jakarta, located in Jakarta’s prime “Golden Triangle,” benefits from direct access to major business, retail, and cultural destinations. Sustainahaus was appointed as the EDGE Auditor for the final certification stage, successfully supporting the project team to achieve EDGE certification within one month of submission, highlighting our efficiency and technical expertise.
