The World Bank Group Country Office in Dili, Timor-Leste, went through a comprehensive green renovation to extend its operational life while significantly enhancing sustainability performance. Located on Avenida dos Direitos Humanos, the one-storey office spans 1,281 sqm within a 5,825 sqm site and was originally constructed over 35 years ago. Sustainahaus served as the EDGE Auditor, supporting both the design and post-construction stages on behalf of GPDM Sustainability as the EDGE Expert. The project achieved EDGE Preliminary Certification in late 2021 and EDGE Final Certification in March 2024, demonstrating how strategic green retrofitting can improve resource efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and extend asset value, setting a strong benchmark for sustainable office renovations in Timor-Leste.
